If I set fire to the Australian flag, I wonder how many people would say “fucking white people, I have no respect for them now”, just like I have seen on facebook.

How pathetic.

We have the convention of “free speech”, and yet people want to silence Aboriginal and Indigenous people who are angry and upset? I guess it just goes to show how far we still have to go to reach equality in Australia. I for one, am somewhat disappointed in the reaction the protests has caused on people. While I don’t agree nor condone the act of burning the Australian flag; if that’s what it takes to bring attention to this issue, then so be it.
